This is regular life

Darin here, Kaily and I hope that as the holiday season approaches you're not feeling anxious about the busyness of the Christmas season, but more so filled with joy as you anticipate time spent with family and loved ones. With the lack of snow, and high percentage of Buddhists, the Christmas spirit is not as heightened as we're use to. However, we are enjoying the posts on social media as we see all of you getting your Christmas trees and decorations ready.

Kaily and I have been doing great out here in Thailand. We have been journeying through a good season recently. We have entered our third term at school and we both feel confident in our abilities as teachers. We have felt blessed to be able to build more of a relationship with our students, and allow that to shape how we teach. Needless to say, we still experience the challenge of teaching to students whose first language is not English. Kaily has finished school! I am so proud of her and all the things she has accomplished while being out here. She is definitely enjoying the freedom of free evenings after work, and having a more normal life. With that being finished, we now look forward to what the Lord has in store for both Kaily and I as we head home to Winnipeg in April.

As we've become more comfortable in our work setting, our regular life has also become more comfortable. We have been enjoying our time spent with our friends, checking out the city and experiencing the more "trendier" side of Bangkok ; ) Kaily and I headed downtown this past week to go see Lucy Rose who was performing. That was awesome for us to experience the Bangkok music scene, listen to local Thai bands and enjoy one of our favourite musicians in a foreign country.
Recently in Bangkok a pop-up market called Artbox has been taking place. The market moves around the city, housing different food vendors and artisan booths in shipping containers. We definitely are enjoying getting the opportunity to venture out in our city and experience things that we love being a part of in our home city Winnipeg.

So this post is just our regular life, which is hard to believe for some of you I'm sure because all you see is pictures of us traveling.
Enjoy,
love KD

Thailand travels

Our October vacation was an amazing time exploring more of Thailand. We started in the lush jungles of Khao Sok National Park, then to the stunning island of Koh Phi Phi and Railay beach. We ended our travels by flying up north to Chiang Mai. Our time exploring has made us love Thailand even more.
Enjoy the photos!
